In this article, the terms "extremism" and "extremist activity", the history of their origin, and the classification of types of extremism were scientifically analyzed in order to fully reflect the essence of these terms. At the same time, the reforms carried out in our country to prevent extremism and the adopted regulatory legal documents related to the field, their importance and the main tasks defined in these documents to prevent and fight against extremism were discussed.
