DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES AS A FACTOR OF THREATS TO INTERNATIONAL SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONAL LAW

Abstract
The article is devoted to the issues of ensuring international security in the context of global digital transformation. The article notes that the negative consequence of the active development of digital technologies has been the emergence of so-called cyber threats and cyber wars, the growth of cyber violence, cyber terrorism and cyber crime. The so-called cyberspace has become another area of struggle, and the information space is recognized as a new area of international relations. The concepts of "cybersecurity", "information security", as well as "digital security" and "digital threats" have appeared. These phenomena have become a new direction in the field of ensuring international security. The author also notes that issues of ensuring information security are of particular importance in the context of the rapid development of digital technologies. This necessitated the study of new aspects and directions in the field of international security law, but also the development of a new branch of international law - international information law. The author concludes that digital technologies have become one of the important factors contributing to the emergence of new threats to peace and security and affecting the state of international security in the world, which has an impact on the development of international law in general.
