LEGAL BASIS FOR RESTRICTION OF CIVIL, CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OF A PERSON

The article examines human rights and the legal basis for their restriction. Human rights can only be restricted on the basis of the norms of the Constitution. The article also cites the norms of international law: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Cultural Rights, the Limburg Principles for the Implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The author cites articles of the Constitution of Uzbekistan in the new edition devoted to the protection and guarantees of human rights. The constitutional innovation is the norm that provides that human rights and freedoms can be restricted only in accordance with the law and only to the extent necessary to protect the constitutional order and public health.
