Abstract
Abu Bakr Jassas (d. 370/981) scientific thought’s conclusions, scientific views and experience were reflected in his tafsir “Ahkam al-Quran”. This work has its own high scientific status with special attention to the interpretation of the verses of the injunction (ayat al-ahkam), efforts to generalize and coordinate the verses, definitions of Islamic reforms, attention to high moral issues in the historical period, interpretation of the Qur'an with the Qur'an.
