Аннотация

This article is devoted to the issue of asceticism, which is one of the important stages in the history of the teaching and practice of Sufism. It is known that Hassan Basri is one of the founders of the ascetic concept. He is the founder of a school of thought called the "Basra School" in the history of Sufism. It creates the religious foundations of the ascetic movement. His student Abdulwahid ibn Zayd, developing the teaching of asceticism, divides science into two: internal and external. Abdulwahid ibn Zayd enriches his views on asceticism, considered the first stage of Sufism, making several additions to it.
