THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION: GENESIS AND CURRENT STATE

Abstract
The article analyzes the etymological meaning of the term "corruption", given in explanatory andlegal dictionaries of the Uzbek language. At the same time, based on the analysis of scientists'opinions on corruption, international and national legislative acts, legal literature, and concepts inresearch papers, the author's definition of the term "corruption" has been developed. In order todevelop proposals aimed at qualitative improvement of the anti-corruption activities of theoperational units of the internal affairs bodies, the genesis of corruption has been studied, the historyof its formation and development has been investigated
