Аннотация
The article explores the possibilities of psychological interpretation of the Sufi treatise by Farid ad-Din Attar «Manṭiq-uṭ-Ṭayr» («The Conference of the Birds»). The spiritual path of birds through seven valleys is analyzed as a metaphor for the stages of personality transformation. The approaches of analytical, existential and humanistic psychology, as well as fairy tale therapy and trance techniques are considered, which allows for a deeper understanding of the symbolism of the text and its significance for the psychology of religion.
