On the eve of the arrival of Islam, Central Asia was a region where there was an active assimilation of various peoples and cultures, and various religions and beliefs were deeply rooted in this region. These beliefs have had a great impact on the socio-political life of society. Based on primary sources and scientific literature, the article describes the ancient religions and the system of government in Central Asia in the pre-Islamic period.
