Аннотация

The article is devoted to the historical and legal analysis of the formation and development of criminal liability for crimes against morality in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Based on a comparative study of legal, religious, and customary sources - from the Zoroastrian norms of the "Avesta," Muslim law (sharia), ancient Eastern legal monuments to Soviet and modern criminal legislation - the stages of evolution of ideas about morality as an object of criminal-legal protection have been identified. The types of corresponding crimes and the system of punishment in different historical periods were analyzed. The conditional periodization of the development of legislation is substantiated, and directions for its further improvement, taking into account modern socio-legal realities, are outlined.
