ISSUES OF CRIME AND PUNISHMENT IN SHARIA

Abstract
In the article, the author, from a scientific and theoretical position, examined the system of criminal penalties applied during the Islamic period. In particular, the types and composition of punishments used during this period in the territory of Uzbekistan were studied, the features of their application and purposes were considered, the features of their application and purposes were examined, the results of scientific research, the views and approaches of scientists and researchers regarding the classification of punishments for crimes in the sharia were analyzed. Based on the results of the study, relevant scientific and theoretical conclusions are presented.
