PROBLEMS OF CURRENT LEGISLATION ON LIABILITY FOR CORRUPTION CRIMES AND ISSUES OF THEIR ELIMINATION

Abstract
Today, in the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with other countries of the world, problems related to corruption crimes are hindering the development of public life. Corruption is a negative phenomenon hindering the development, economic, political, and spiritual growth of states. Indeed, corruption crimes hinder the development of the state, as well as those who do not obey the law, are unworthy of their duties, circumvent the law for their own gain, and commit this crime for a certain fee or benefit, which, unfortunately, currently leads to a weakening of trust between government bodies and citizens. The current legislation lacks regulatory and legal definitions for a number of concepts related to corruption crimes, and there are problems such as the insufficient coverage of corruption offenses by criminal legislation.
