Public Control in the Activities of the Prosecutor's Office and Its Legal Boundaries
Ғайбуллаев Фаррух Юлдашевич
Abstract
The article examines the issues of public oversight of the activities of prosecution authorities, the independence and accountability of prosecutors, and their role in a legal and democratic state. Public oversight is carried out by citizens, non-governmental organizations, and other societal actors to ensure that the prosecution adheres to the principles of legality, fairness, transparency, and accountability. The article discusses the balance between prosecutorial independence and public oversight, analyzes international experience (Europe, Germany, the Netherlands, France), UN and Council of Europe standards, and the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It also highlights mechanisms of judicial control and procedural limitations, as well as the restriction of public pressure and political interference. The article emphasizes the importance of maintaining the balance between prosecutorial independence and legal accountability for a modern rule-of-law state.
