NECESSITY OF ADDING A FINE PUNISHMENT TO THE MAIN PUNISHMENT IN THE NEW CRIMINAL CODE OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN AND WIDELY IMPLEMENTING IT FOR CORRUPTION CRIMES

The possibilities of using fines in terms of preventing crimes, ensuring the fairness and proportionality of punishment, compensating for damages, and increasing the effectiveness of the fight against corruption crimes were analyzed. In the article, the author scientifically and theoretically substantiates the need to introduce a fine in addition to the main punishment for corruption crimes committed with mercenary intentions in the field of economics and management. Furthermore, the article examines the legal and practical significance of improving the criminal punishment system in the new Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, specifically introducing a fine as an additional type of punishment to the main one. The possibilities of using fines in terms of preventing crimes, ensuring the fairness and proportionality of punishment, compensating for damages, and increasing the effectiveness of the fight against corruption crimes were analyzed. Furthermore, based on the specifics of corruption crimes, the expediency of applying financial sanctions alongside imprisonment and other primary punitive measures is substantiated. Based on the experience of foreign countries and modern trends in criminal law policy, proposals and recommendations have been developed to improve the legal mechanisms for applying a fine as an additional punishment.
