PILGRIMAGE TOURISM: FEATURES AND TRENDS OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The role of tourism in the national economy, features and priority directions of tourism development in Uzbekistan are considered. The measures to stimulate the development of the country’s tourism industry are shown. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the features of measures to support the country’s tourism industry were disclosed, including measures to support the transport system, entrepreneurship, and the hotel industry. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of current trends in the development of the tourism industry in the context of a pandemic, the impact of its consequences on the development of the tourism industry.
