Abstract

After the Russian invasion of Turkestan in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Russian emigration to this country accelerated. Immigrants from Russia came with their religion and customs. The article analyzes the construction and reconstruction of Orthodox churches, monasteries, and primary schools in Turkestan, as well as the contribution of the local population and Russian philanthropists during Tsarist Russia to the construction of these structures.
