Abstract

The article discusses the origin, development, uniqueness of Buddhism in Central Asia, the works created under its influence, the missionary role of monks and nuns, the commonalities of mythological plots in ancient Uzbek and Chinese mythology. It is a comparative study of ancient legends about the creation of the universe, such as the Golden Light and the Turkic Race.
