Мазкур мақолада Ўзбекистон ҳудудида қадимги даврларда вужудга келган илк диний тасаввурлардан бўлмиш анимизмга оид диний-мистик рамзлар ва тасвирлар талқини юзасидан ўтказилган тадқиқот натижалари илмий равишда умумлаштирилган. Шунингдек, Марказий Осиё халқлари турмуш тарзини тадқиқ этган кўплаб маҳаллаий ва хорижий олимларнинг изланишлари натижалари хусусида ҳам сўз юритилган. Жумладан, Э.Тайлор, А.Писарчик, А.Асқаров, Э.Ртвеладзе, М.Исҳоқов ва Б.Саркаратиларни киритиш мумкин.
