Abstract

“Divanu lugati-t-Turk” by Mahmud Kashgari consists of an introduction and a dictionary. The vocabulary part of the Divan has a complex structure, consisting of a kita:b, ba:b, and chapters. Each kita:b in the dictionary is divided into nouns and verbs. Words are arranged alphabetically according to the shape of the words. The dictionary contains above:b (chapters) of three-letter, four-letter, five-letter, six-letter and seven-letter words.
