Abstract
In the medieval history of Egypt, particular attention is drawn to the period of the reign of the dynasties of the Turkic sultans Tulunids, Ikhshidids, and Mamluks. This article is dedicated to Egyptian warlords from Maverannahr, thanks to whom Egypt survived during the Mongol invasion.
