ON THE EFFICIENCY OF USING TEXTS OF COUNTRY LINGUISTIC CONTENT WHEN TEACHING STUDENTS IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

The article discusses the issue of using texts of linguistic and cultural content in teaching a foreign language. The texts of linguistic and cultural content are considered productive, thanks to which a unique opportunity is created to expand the horizons of students, as well as their orientation towards the disclosure of their creative potential and the development of cognitive interests. Working on two texts of regional geographic content, the student evaluates the culture of one country with the culture of another. When comparing, the student finds common and specific features, which leads to unification, the development of understanding and a good attitude towards the country, people, and traditions. Having familiarized with the material of regional geographic content, the student gets an idea of another country, which shows interest and forms intercultural relations.
