Genre of Ode and its Genesis in Turkic Folklore
РАҲМАТОВА, Говҳар
Annotatsiya
The oral folk art of the Turkic peoples is distinguished by a variety of genres. This is evidenced by the fact that Makhmud Kashgari’s “Divani lugati-t-turk” includes such genres as rubai, dastan, munazara, kasida (ode), fakhriya and other examples of folklore. Fragments in the work contain a number of quatrains dedicated to the description of nature, including an ode to spring. This article is devoted to the kasida (ode) genre and its genesis in the Turkic oral folk art.
