Annotatsiya

The science of Munasabah is a branch of Tafseer science that dates back to the start of Islam.  Munasabah is a science that talks about the wisdom of correlation and harmony in the order of each verse and each surah in Qur'an. Without knowing the correlation between verses and surahs, it is impossible to understand some verses and this leads to misunderstanding of the verses. Sahabit Abdullah ibn Abbas, during a discussion with the Kharijites, responding to their objections, gave explanations referring to the correlation between the verses. But this science, unlike other branches of science tafsir is not tawqeefi, i.e., it was not founded by the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. But it is based on reason (ijtihad).
