SOCIOLINGUISTIC ASPECTS OF FORMATION OF THE HUNGARIAN LANGUAGE
Акрамжон Махмудович Кулдашев
Abstract
The present article deals with the problem of the role and place of the Great migration of peoples which had taken place in Europe in the III-X centuries CE. The problem is very topical and interesting due to the fact, that the motherland of the Hungarian people being in the Eastern Europe, they established a state in the heart of Western Europe, forming a so-called “language Island” in the centre of vast territory inhabited by Indo-European speaking peoples. The author analyses this problem using the etimology of Hungarian words and comparing them with the material of ancient Turkic languages and that of modern Turkish language.
