Interpretation of Ayats with Hadiths in the Book “Tavilyat al-Kur’an” by Imam Maturidi

Abstract
This article talks about the tafsir of the scholar Abu Mansur al-Moturidi, who grew up in Mawaraannahr, called Ta’wilat al-Qur’an, the style of tafsir used in it, manuscripts, copies kept in libraries, and the role of hadith in the interpretation of verses in the work. Abu Mansur al-Maturidi is a mutakallim scholar and a mufassir. One of the two works of the scientist that have reached us is related to tafsir, known as “Ta’wilat al-Qur’an” and “Ta’wilat ahli-sunna”. The article discusses the manuscripts, copies and modern editions of this work. In the science of tafsir, Imam Maturidi used the method of naqli tafsir as well as the method of intellectual tafsir, and used ahadith extensively in tafsir. The article also provides information about the role of ahadith in this interpretation.
