ANALYSIS OF WESTERN RESEARCHES ON THE HISTORY OF THE SELJUK PERIOD

Annotatsiya

This article analyzes the scientific researches of Western orientalists and Turkologists on the history of the Seljuk period. It should be noted that Western studies related to the history of the Seljuk period are mainly in English and Russian, and partially in German and French. During the analysis, the researcher’s method of explaining historical processes, the language in which the research was written, the composition and general content of the research, as well as its publications and translations were touched upon. Studies in the Russian illuminate the political history of the Seljuk Sultanate, while studies in English, French and German mainly focus on the architectural monuments and works of art of the Seljuk era.
