Аннотатсия

The article covers the first historical processes on the spread of Islam in the Korean Peninsula. It were used the medieval Muslim sources described the socio-political, cultural and geographical environment of the peninsula and the modern English versions of ancient Korean chronicles. The formation of Muslim communities on the Korean Peninsula has gone through various historical stages and conditions. In the first stage, the relationship between Muslims and Koreans began on a commercial basis, and Muslims were similarly referred to as “daesik”. In the next stage, the term “hoehoe” was used against Muslims, a term that refers to the general meaning of foreign peoples living in a single geographical area and cooperating and competing on an equal footing with the local population.
