ENLIGHTENING ISLAM DIPLOMACY OF THE NEW UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

This article throws light on the reforms in spiritual religious sphere that have taken place in Uzbekistan in recent years. Initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan in the field of the enlightening Islam, Third Renaissance, and international youth rights are evaluated. According to the author, the “enlightening Islam diplomacy” of New Uzbekistan will strengthen international cooperation in science and culture, intensify its participation in Islamic international organizations, pave the way for the development of pilgrimage tourism.
