Abstract

The article highlights the essence of xenophobia, the reasons for its occurrence, historical roots, types, as well as the scientific and theoretical foundations of the manifestation of xenophobia as a negative phenomenon in the era of globalization. Xenophobia was first studied in the context of studying “fear” in humans and has several varieties: racial, religious, regional, etc. In particular, religious xenophobia seems to be an object of research in the field of socio-religious disciplines.
