The article examines the phenomenon of compound phenomena in fiction - the process of realization of typological similarities on the example of the Karakalpak writer Sh. Seitov and the Uzbek writer Sh. Khalmyrzaev. The main obstacles to the education of the two writers are the choice of the events of the transition period and the description of the changes in the consciousness of the protagonist in this process, the attitude to the events described, the choice of descriptive principles, the plot. The article studies Sh. Seitov's novels " A steep turn" and Sh. Khalmyrzaev's " Horror "  and it was found that the typological phenomenon in them is associated with the images and plot of the protagonist.
