Abstract

In the 21st century, the development of information technology and the popularization of the Internet introduced a new concept of “distance education” into the education system. Distance education is also called digital education, virtual education, e-education. This article will discuss the features of distance education, the positive and negative aspects of its implementation. In the context of a pandemic, distance education conducted at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan is illustrated using the example of teaching Arabic.
