IBN SINA’S AND BERUNI’S CRITICISM AGAINST ALCHEMISTS
МУСАМЕТОВ, Баҳодир
Annotatsiya
The article examines the consideration by Islamic thinkers Farabi, Ibn Sina and Beruni of the activities of alchemists based on the teachings of the ancient Greek thinker Aristotle called “metabasis-prohibition” and his concept of “per se”. Thus, the article analyzes Farabi’s argument that, based on the rules of formal logic, the per se properties of metals can be transferred from one metal to another, and thus artificial gold can be created, as well as the scientific arguments of Ibn Sina and Beruni about that artificial manipulations with minerals will not bring any positive results.
