THE CONTRIBUTION OF MAWARANNAHR SCHOLARS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SCIENCE OF HADITH

Abstract

This article shows the contribution of Mawarannahr scholars to the development of the science of hadith. Together with Islam, which came to this region in the 7th century, also came hadiths and the science of hadith. Muhaddith scholars who came from this country, such as Imam Bukhari, Imam Tirmizi, Imam Darimi, collected more than 10 thousand reliable (sahih) hadiths in their collections. Representatives of Islamic sciences, such as aqida, fiqh and Sufism, also contributed to the development of the science of hadith.
