Abstract
This article outlines the application of international law principles during the early Islamic period. It presents a verse from the Quran, the primary source of Islam, which promotes the idea of peace, along with its interpretation. Furthermore, it provides information from Abu Bakr Muhammad al-Sarakhsi’s commentary on “al-Siyar al-Kabir” regarding international law norms in Islam, safe conduct, and other factors contributing to its formation.
