The Peculiarities of the French Culture and Its Influence on the World Literature

Аннотация

The article analyzes French culture, way of living, national stereotypes and ideological views of that time in two major French novels: “Bel-Ami” by Guy de Maupassant and “Madame Bovary” by Gustave Flaubert. The specific linguistic and cultural features of French culture illuminated in these novels are described with artistic skill. Extracts from these novels, which describe French luxury, national dishes, rules of accepting guests, French fashion are also given.
