Abstract

This article reflects the political actions of the Bolsheviks aimed at undermining the views, beliefs and status of the Turkestan peoples in Islam. More than half a century has covered the persecution of the clergy, the closure of mosques and madrassas, the end of the clergy, religious literature and spiritual education, as well as the period of constant pressure from the Soviet regime on religion.
