Abstract
This article analyzes the activities of representatives of the national progressive movement - the Jadid movement, which arose in Central Asia in the late 19th - early 20th centuries, whose efforts were aimed at the spiritual reform of society, solving current problems on the basis of universal and national values, as well as promoting religious and national tolerance among compatriots.
