SOURCE ANALYSIS OF HANDWRITTEN COPIES OF THE HOLY KORAN

Abstract
The main content of this research is a source study of handwritten copies of the Holy Quran, stored in the Center for Oriental Manuscripts named after Abu Rayhan Biruni. The author examined 28 manuscripts of the Koran, rewritten in the Central Asian region and referring to the period IX-XIX centuries. The author substantiates the provision that the handwritten copies of the Koran selected by the author are extremely rare in other manuscript funds of our republic and these manuscripts are a material and spiritual heritage of Uzbekistan.
