PRAGMATIC FEATURES OF THE USE OF LIES IN THE EXPRESSION OF SPEECH POLITENESS (BASED ON SPANISH LANGUAGE MATERIALS)

This article discusses the pragmatic features of the use of lies in the expression of politeness in speech, and also reviews the research conducted by scholars in this field. It systematically demonstrates how a speaker uses lies as a means of politeness in the process of communication and their impact on the listener’s image. This study serves as a valuable scientific resource not only in the field of pragmatic theory but also in the context of intercultural communication. In the process of verbal communication, a number of linguistic behavioral factors play an important role in ensuring effective communication. These factors include speech politeness as well as the concepts of the listener’s positive and negative “image.”
