FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL TERMINOLOGY IN THE UZBEK AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES: RESULTS OF A CORPUS ANALYSIS

The article examines the features of the formation and development of scientific and pedagogical terminology in the Uzbek and Russian languages based on corpus analysis. The relevance of the study is determined by the dynamic development of the educational sphere, the digitalization of scientific communication, and the need to unify the terminological framework within a bilingual academic environment. The aim of the study is to identify the patterns of functioning and evolution of pedagogical terms in the two languages, as well as to determine the common and specific trends in their development. The empirical basis of the research includes data from the Russian National Corpus and the Uzbek National Corpus, as well as specialized electronic dictionaries. The study employs corpus analysis, comparative and contrastive methods, and lexicographic analysis. The results demonstrate that the development of scientific and pedagogical terminology in both languages is characterized by processes of internationalization, active calquing, and semantic differentiation of terms. At the same time, a number of nationally specific features have been identified, determined by language policy and the sociocultural context. The findings of the study can be applied in the development of bilingual terminological resources and digital dictionaries.
