THE EDICT OF NANTES AS A SOURCE IN THE STUDY OF THE HISTORY OF RELIGIOUS WARS IN FRANCE

Аннотация

The history of the religious wars in France has not been sufficiently studied at the levelof European historiography and source studies. In particular, the lack of major scientific papers on thistopic written in the national language indicates an insufficient study of this problem in modern Frenchhistoriography and source studies. In addition, “Sources of Religious Warfare in sixteenth-centuryFrance” as the main research topic is also valuable for schools of modern historiography and sourcestudies. This article reveals the end of the religious war and the establishment of an absolute monarchy inFrance. Based on historical sources, I was able to show the historical significance of the Edict of Nanteson the settlement of the religious issue in the country.
