Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical study of temperature and heat phenomena during the mechanicalcutting of white cast irons, the primary plastic deformation occurring in the shear plane, the amount of heat releasedin the conditional shear plane were analyzed. It is known that white cast irons have high hardness, strength and creepresistance, which greatly complicates the process of their mechanical processing. We theoretically studied the changein the temperature generated by friction on the front surface of the cutting tool during the mechanical processing of whitecast irons depending on the type of white cast iron and the cutting speed
