Wellness tourism is one of the most successful segments of the tourism industry, and in the context of the 21stcentury, it can be said that achieving a healthy body and mind represents a triumph of modern medicine. This type oftourism not only encompasses treatment and rehabilitation processes but also aims to improve physical and mental wellbeing,prevent diseases, and strengthen immunity. It relies on a comprehensive use of natural resources (mineral waters,therapeutic muds, climate), modern medical technologies, and wellness methods (physiotherapy, massage, balneotherapy,phytotherapy). When integrated with other segments of medical tourism, such as post-surgical rehabilitation or supportfor oncology patients, wellness tourism provides patients with the opportunity for complete recovery and a return to a highquality of life.
