THE INVESTMENT CLIMATE AND ITS IMPACT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF FOREIGN TRADE: A CASE STUDY OF UZBEKISTAN

This article explores the role of the investment climate in fostering the development of foreign trade, with aparticular emphasis on Uzbekistan. The study examines the key determinants influencing investment decisions, includingregulatory quality, political and economic stability, and institutional effectiveness. Employing a combination of qualitativeand quantitative research methods—such as a questionnaire-based survey and secondary data analysis—the researchidentifies a strong relationship between foreign direct investment inflows and foreign trade performance. The findingsdemonstrate that recent reforms and improvements in the investment environment have contributed positively to tradedevelopment; however, further enhancement of institutional efficiency and administrative procedures would help unlockgreater potential. The study underscores the importance of institutional transparency and policy consistency in maximizingthe contribution of investment to sustainable foreign trade growth
