THE ROLE OF COMMERCIAL BANKS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES

The rapid transformation of the global economy necessitates a robust financial infrastructure, whereincommercial banks act as the primary catalyst for industrial development. This article investigates the pivotal role ofcommercial banking institutions in financing, modernizing, and expanding industrial enterprises, with a specific focus onthe evolving macroeconomic landscape of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Through a comprehensive empirical analysis, thisstudy examines the mechanisms of credit allocation, investment dynamics, and the impact of banking sector reforms onindustrial output. The research identifies the fundamental challenges industrial enterprises face in accessing long-termcapital, including high interest rates and collateral constraints, while highlighting the systemic transition of state-ownedbanks toward market-oriented operations. The findings reveal a direct positive correlation between long-term commerciallending and the technological upgrading of manufacturing sectors. Ultimately, the paper concludes that while the volumeof industrial loans has increased significantly, structural enhancements in risk assessment, syndication, and alternativefinancing are urgently required. Strategic recommendations are provided to optimize bank-industry integration, ensuringsustainable economic growth and the successful realization of national industrialization objectives.
