This article examines the issues of optimizing the asset structure and improving the efficiency of commercialbanks in the context of the transformation of the banking system of Uzbekistan. The study analyzes the quality indicatorsof bank assets, diversification of the loan portfolio, and strategic directions for improving the risk management system.Furthermore, scientific and practical recommendations are proposed to increase return on assets (ROA) and reduce theshare of non-performing loans (NPL) through the introduction of digital technologies
