Abstract
This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) concept and their role in economic development. It examines global SEZ models, including free trade zones, industrial parks, technology clusters, and innovation zones, highlighting their development features. Additionally, the positive impacts and potential risks of SEZs are thoroughly discussed. The findings substantiate the need to align SEZs with national industrial policy and sustainable development strategies
