FORMATION OF MEDICAL TOURISM CLUSTERS IN THE REGION

Abstract
This study examined the theoretical foundations and practical prospects of developing medical tourismclusters in regional economies. The research analyzed medical tourism market trends, the principles of the cluster approach,and infrastructure development using Uzbekistan and the Bukhara region as examples. The cluster structure includedhealthcare institutions, sanatoriums, hotels, transport services, tourism operators, and public institutions. The findingsdemonstrated that the parallel development of medical and tourism infrastructure increased international patient flows,improved service quality, and strengthened regional economic activity. Based on the results, practical recommendationswere developed to enhance stakeholder coordination, expand international accreditation, and strengthen public-privatepartnership mechanisms. The study confirmed the importance of cluster-based development for improving competitivenessand supporting sustainable regional growth
