Аннотация

This article explores the system of metaphors in the Uzbek language, focusing on their semantic, structural, and stylistic types, as well as their functional characteristics in artistic and everyday speech. Metaphor, as a means of expressiveness in language, serves not only as a stylistic device in literature but also as an essential communicative tool in daily interaction and media discourse. The study analyzes the classification of metaphors, their national-cultural features, and their role in representing imagery and expressiveness in Uzbek linguistic thought. Moreover, the paper discusses the cognitive and conceptual foundations of metaphor and examines its semantic dynamics in modern linguistic research and discourse analysis.
