HISTORY OF THE FORMATION OF THE ORCHESTRA

The article examines the emergence of permanent ensembles of brass and string instruments in some European cities, the similarity of these ensembles to orchestras, and the fact that the orchestra is believed to have first been created during the reign of Louis XIV. They say that the history of the orchestra is not only the history of the development of musical instruments, but also the history of the development of the art of composing music for the orchestra and orchestral ensembles. Due to the development of musical instruments, orchestras until the end of the 18th century usually consisted of a group of string instruments, and the development of the orchestra took place over the centuries.
