Abstract
This article presents an econometric analysis of the factors affecting pollutant emissions in the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan based on panel data for 2010–2024. Linear and logarithmic regression models were employed to assess the impact of socio-economic factors. The results indicate that an increase in industrial production is associated with an increase in pollutant emissions, whereas growth in fixed capital investment and population density is associated with a reduction in emission levels. A comparison of the results showed that the logarithmic model captures the studied relationships more accurately than the linear specification
